Jamie Benson

Jamie Benson is a second year MD-PhD student in the Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology and Informatics at the Perelman School of Medicine. He received his BA from the University of Vermont. After graduation, he spent four years working for the Vermont Department of Health and the Larner College of Medicine, where he studied Vermont’s healthcare landscape, with foci in access to emergency care, prehospital protocol development, and eliciting patient and provider preferences under value-based care delivery models.

Jamie is an aspiring social epidemiologist and is excited to explore the integration of his research work into his intended clinical field of either family medicine or emergency medicine.
