Dr. Anne Song is a pulmonary and critical care fellow and palliative care physician at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She is also a student in the Master of Science in Health Policy Research (MSHP) program. Her career goal is to improve the delivery of goal-concordant and patient- and family-centered care for patients with advanced and critical illness. Her current research interests include exploring interpersonal conflict between patients/families and their medical team as well as exploring disparities in palliative care delivery.
Dr. Song attended Yale University for her undergraduate studies, where she received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry. She then attended medical school at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University before completing residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine, both at the Hospital of University of Pennsylvania. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Dr. Song remains a devoted Cleveland sports fan. She currently lives in Center City and enjoys playing soccer, basketball, and volleyball in recreational leagues around the city.
