Biography

Melanie is a Clinical Research Coordinator at the PAIR Center, supporting Dr. Katie Auriemma’s projects.

She has a bachelor’s degree in linguistics from Bryn Mawr College and an M.S.Ed. in higher education from the Graduate School of Education at Penn. Prior to coming to PAIR, Melanie has spent her career in various roles in higher education, including as an instructional designer and as the manager of two federally-funded training programs in education research methods. She began thinking about stakeholder engagement in research and quality improvement as an undergraduate student partnering with new faculty to increase the student-centeredness of their teaching, and she is excited to bring this experience to projects focused on patient-centered outcomes in healthcare.

Outside of work, Melanie enjoys spending time outside birdwatching, kayaking, and visiting her native bioregion in the Great Lakes. She loves making things and can often be found working on a new recipe, knitting project, or quilt.
