About

Nicholas (Nick) Kuhl, MD is a fellow in the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania as well as a graduate student in the Master of Science in Clinical Epidemiology (MSCE) program within the Perelman School of Medicine. His primary research interests center on the intersection of health equity research and implementation science. He is currently working with Drs. Meeta Kerlin and Christopher Chesley, PAIR Center Core Faculty members, to understand differences in critical care outcomes among historically marginalized patients with critical illness.

Born in Kentucky and then raised in Parkland, Florida, Nick originally came to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania for Internal Medicine residency followed by a year as Chief Resident. Prior to his time at Penn, Nick went to undergrad at Vanderbilt University where he received Bachelors degrees in Neuroscience and Spanish. He subsequently received his medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine.
