About
Neha is a Clinical Research Coordinator at the PAIR Center on Dr. Joanna Hart’s team where she supports the Financial Outcomes after Critical Illness and Understanding Stressors (FOCUS) study. This study examines the long-term economic and psychological impacts of critical illness on patients and their families, with the goal of informing improved care delivery and support systems.
Neha graduated from Drexel University in 2023 with a B.S. in Biological Sciences and a Minor in Spanish. She brings a wealth of research experience to her role, having previously worked as a STAR Scholar at Drexel, a Research Assistant at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and a Research Specialist in oncology diagnostics at Penn Medicine. These roles honed her skills in clinical research, data analysis, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
In addition to her research background, Neha has a strong commitment to education and community engagement. She volunteered as a teacher for migrant students in Philadelphia, creating inclusive learning opportunities for underserved populations. Following graduation, she served as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Malta, where she designed and taught a public speaking course at the University of Malta and worked with students from diverse backgrounds, including both native and migrant populations in secondary schools. Her experiences reflect a passion for fostering equity, whether in healthcare, education, or the broader community.
