About
Lauren Hicks is a Clinical Research Coordinator at the PAIR Center supporting the COMPASS-PC trial.
Lauren graduated from Boston University in 2023 with an MS in Medical Anthropology and Cross-Cultural Practice. Her thesis work helped to elucidate themes within the experiences of Black women who seek treatment for mental and physical health conditions. During that time, she also interned with the New England Medical Association to help provide support for Black doctors and medical students in the Massachusetts area. Prior to joining the PAIR Center, Lauren collaborated with other researchers to develop a psychiatric assessment for the traumatic effects of racism modeled after the Harvard Trauma Questionnaire.
Lauren enjoys spending time both indoors and outdoors, whether it’s playing video games with friends or hiking trails on a sunny day. She also appreciates exploring her creative side through art and music.
