About
Emma is the Manager of Communications and Engagement at the PAIR Center. In this role, she develops strategies to promote and disseminate the PAIR Center’s work, faculty achievements, and events. Additionally, she collaborates with investigators and teams to help them reach their community and stakeholder engagement goals, including supporting the Healthy Lungs Stakeholder Advisory Committee. She is a founding member of the Joint Research Practices Working Group (JRP), chartered by the PAIR Center and the Center for Health Incentives and Behavioral Economics (CHIBE) to develop best practices and guidelines for the conduct of equitable research. As part of the JRP, she has worked on the toolkit of resources, the newsletter, and workshops for staff and faculty.
Emma previously worked as a research assistant for Penn’s Center for Mental Health and as a program coordinator for the Netter Center for Community Partnerships. She obtained a B.A. in Health and Societies, an interdisciplinary study in history, sociology, and anthropology, from the University of Pennsylvania in 2021. She is an alumna of the Summer Undergraduate Mentored Research Program (SUMR) through the Leonard Davis Institute of Health Economics, through which she started her career in health services research.
In her free time, Emma sings with ANNA Crusis Feminist Choir, whose mission is to inspire social change and build community through the power of music, and performs with Cheer Philadelphia, raising funds and spirits in the local LGBTQ+ community.
