About

Jasmine Silvestri is currently the Qualitative Research Specialist at The PAIR Center. She works closely with Dr. Klaiman to provide methods expertise to many of the center’s faculty and trainees on the development and implementation of qualitative research aims. Jasmine is currently leading qualitative analyses for Dr. Kerlin’s INPUT trial and ICU Wellness project, Dr. Auriemma’s portfolio of studies, Dr. Kohn’s ARF research, and the AHA-funded BETTER Center. Additionally, Jasmine provides training and support to student workers and new research staff when developing qualitative research skills such as interviewing techniques and coding data.

Jasmine first came to PAIR in 2018 as a clinical research coordinator via the Penn Medicine BioBank after completing a Master of Public Health here at Penn. While pursuing an undergraduate degree at Temple she worked on health behavior research, eventually managing data collection for the CDC’s Youth Risk Behavior Survey and School Health Profiles in the Philadelphia School District. During her time as a student at Penn she served on the Student Health Advisory Board (SHAB), led tobacco cessation focused projects at Campus Health, and worked with the CAPS assessment and outreach team on qualitative research to identify facilitators and barriers to accessing mindfulness programs on campus.

Jasmine has enjoyed living in and exploring neighborhoods all throughout the city. She loves trying new restaurants, weaving, and musical theater. She is also an organizational enthusiast who often lends friends and family a hand in decluttering and reorganizing their closets.
