About
Yazmeen Ahmad is a Clinical Research Coordinator at the PAIR Center. She supports multiple projects in Dr. Kate Courtright’s portfolio, including the SHEPHERD, COMPASS-PC, and NEEDS-PC trials.
Yazmeen graduated from Temple University in 2021 with a B.S. in Biology. Prior to working at the PAIR Center, she served in diverse roles in clinical research. She was a research assistant at CHOP where she supported a large pediatric study investigating risk factors associated with obesity and cardiovascular disease in children with chronic kidney disease. She also supported a transplant study that examined how BK virus can cause kidney and bladder damage after bone marrow transplant. Lastly, she had a unique opportunity to work as a research coordinator at a non-profit which placed non-transplantable organs from donors with biomedical researchers around the country. These roles have shaped her dedication not only for clinical research, but for all opportunities that allow her to be apart of improving patients’ experiences of their healthcare.
When she’s not at the PAIR Center, Yazmeen is enjoying one of her art hobbies, like oil painting, making something with clay, or taking snaps with her film camera. She also enjoys long runs on the Schuylkill trail, visiting museums with friends, and is currently learning American Sign Language.
