Melanie Mayer

Dr. Melanie Mayer is a Postdoctoral Fellow in Biostatistics at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Medicine. Her research focuses on developing statistical methods to leverage electronic health records, with a particular interest in asthma sub-phenotypes and improving outcome characterization.

She earned her PhD in Biostatistics from Columbia University, where she developed methods for analyzing and transporting environmental mixture effects. Her interests include causal inference, policy, and health disparities. Outside of research, she enjoys staying active, reading, and spending time with friends.
