Dr. Lizbeth Gomez is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Informatics (DBEI) at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Medicine. Her research focuses on leveraging electronic health records (EHR) to study respiratory outcomes, with a particular emphasis on the role of social and environmental determinants of health in asthma exacerbations. She is passionate about using data-driven approaches to advance health equity and improve patient care.
Dr. Gomez earned her PhD in Environmental Health from Drexel University and a Master of Public Health from Columbia University. Originally from the Dominican Republic, she enjoys baking and cycling in her free time.
