About

Alyssa is a Clinical Research Coordinator at the PAIR Center supporting the CLD CDSS and INTERLACE projects in the Weissman Lab. Both projects aim to develop reliable and trustworthy machine-learning models to support clinical decision making and determine the feasibility and acceptability of AI in medicine by patients, caregivers, and clinicians.

Alyssa graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2022 with a B.A. in Psychology. In her undergraduate years, she worked in the Boundaries of Anxiety and Depression laboratory studying perseverative thought (persistent negative thinking such as worry/rumination) in real-time and in response to social-evaluative stress. Through this project, Alyssa developed a passion for research and began working as a Clinical Research Coordinator in the Department of Transplant Surgery at Penn after graduation. Here, she worked on various interventional clinical trials largely aimed at developing better immunosuppression regimens and promoting long-term graft survival for patients receiving liver and kidney transplants.

In her free time, Alyssa loves drawing/painting, reading fiction/classics, attending concerts, collecting trinkets, and baking scones (among other treats)!
