PAIR Center Day of Service: Return to Cambodian Association of Greater Philadelphia

PAIR Center Returns for Day of Service at the Cambodian Association of Greater Philadelphia (CAGP)

In the Fall of 2024, the PAIR Center visited CAGP to support their Violence Intervention and Prevention project and help prepare their South Philly Center for re-opening.

This June, we had the opportunity to volunteer with the organization again, this time to support their Out-of-School Time (OST) Program. The OST Program supports approximately 60 students at Taggart Elementary School in Southeast Philadelphia. The program offers not only homework help and a safe afterschool space, but also exposure to different skills and life experiences.

Our group of volunteers helped out at the OST Program’s End of Year Celebration! This event allowed students and their families to gather and celebrate their hard work over the course of the year. Our group helped to set up and run the popcorn station, the slip & slide, the temporary tattoo station, and even played some basketball! We also served over 100 people a delicious late lunch of homemade and takeout dishes, pizza, and an assortment of delicious desserts.
