PAIR Center Celebrates Black History Month: Saluting Black Heroes in Health Equity

Welcome to Black History Month 2023!

We are pleased to present this year’s program: Saluting Black Heroes in Health Equity. This program is an upbeat expression of our Center’s commitment to go beyond the figurative and literal walls of our Center and the University and partner with community-based organizations and influencers in West Philadelphia.

With this month-long poster series, we will celebrate diverse professionals working in and outside of the health care system to improve social determinants of health (SDOH). SDOH are nonmedical factors, the conditions in which people are born and grow, and broader forces and systems that shape conditions of daily life.
