ABOUT

Dr. Bourke Tillmann is a critical care physician at Toronto Western Hospital, a burn intensivist at the Ross Tilley Burn Centre, and a Trauma Team Leader at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. He received his medical degree from the University of Western Ontario in 2010, and subsequently completed his emergency medicine residency and adult critical care fellowship. Following his fellowship training, Dr. Tillmann completed his PhD in Clinical Epidemiology at the University of Toronto’s Institute of Health Policy, Management, and Evaluation. His clinical interests include acute resuscitation and management of severe neurologic injuries. Dr. Tillmann’s research focuses on equity in access to critical care. His work aims to optimize short- and long-term outcomes among critically ill adults, as well as develop interventions to improve outcomes after severe injury.
