Congratulations to Dr. Gary Weissman for receiving a 2026 Research Grant from Penn LDI!
The University of Pennsylvania’s Leonard David Institute of Health Economics (Penn LDI) has partnered with with Humana’s health services brand CenterWell to create the Penn LDI Research Initiative on Improving Primary Care for Older Adults. These research grants will support rapid-turnaround, high-impact research with measurable effects on value-based primary care and other alternative delivery models for older adults.
Dr. Gary Weissman, Core Faculty at the PAIR Center, received a 2026 Research Grant for his project, “Evaluating the Safety and Appropriateness of AI-Based E-Consults for Older Adults in Primary Care.” Dr. Matthew Press, Affiliated Faculty at the PAIR Center, is a co-principal investigator. This project will determine the quality, safety, and reliability of using AI systems to improve primary care for older adults.
