Biography

Dr. Laura Dingfield obtained her medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School, and completed residency training in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

 

Following residency, she served as a chief resident in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics for one year. She completed a fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, and then joined the faculty as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine on the Palliative Care Service at Penn.

 

Dr. Dingfield has a strong interest in medical education, particularly in teaching and assessing communication skills in trainees. She is currently completing her Master of Education at the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education. Outside of the hospital, Dr. Dingfield enjoys cooking, running, and spending time exploring Philadelphia with her husband and two young children.
